Lucky Cigar is a value-priced brand built around two things: infused and flavored cigars in coffee, rum, cognac and bourbon expressions, and a conventional Nicaraguan Habano Estelí line for people who want none of that.
We are not going to publish a heritage story for it, because we cannot source one. What we can tell you is exactly what is in the humidor and what each line is for.
Infused versus flavored, and what the difference is
These two words get used interchangeably and they should not be.
Flavored cigars have flavoring applied to the wrapper or the cap, usually as a topical treatment. You taste it first on the lips and it fades as the cigar burns down.
Infused cigars have the flavor introduced into the tobacco itself, typically by exposing the leaf to aromatics during aging so it absorbs the character before rolling. It carries through the whole smoke rather than concentrating at the head.
A third category, which is not the same thing at all, is barrel-aged tobacco, where leaf is aged inside spent spirit barrels and takes character from the wood with nothing added. That is what Diesel Whiskey Row does. If you have tried an infused cigar and disliked it, barrel-aged is worth a separate look.
The lines we carry
Caféina, the coffee line
Two roasts, medium and dark, several in crystal tubes. The coffee character is present without being syrupy, and the Magnum at 5 x 58 gives you a lot of it. This is a genuine breakfast-and-coffee cigar rather than a dessert one.
Liga Perfecta, the spirit-infused line
The widest range of the infused expressions. Rum-infused Habano in The Shot at 4 x 38, Petit Delicioso at 5 x 50 and a Maduro Titan at 6 x 60; a XO Cognac Toro at 6 x 50 in a crystal tube; and a Bourbon Kentucky Double Grande at 7.5 x 50, also tubed. The Titan is the fullest of them.
Habano Estelí, the unflavored line
The one people miss. Estelí is the volcanic valley in northern Nicaragua that grows the country's most powerful tobacco, and this line is a conventional Habano-wrapped cigar with nothing added. It runs the widest size range in the brand: Robusto 5 x 50, Toro 6 x 50, Torpedo 6 x 52, Gordo 6 x 60, Super Gordo 6 x 64, Churchill 7 x 50, Rothschild 4.5 x 50, Lonsdale 5 x 38 and a Cuban Lancero at 7.25 x 38.
Classico and the rest
Classico covers the traditional vitolas: Rotchilde 4.5 x 50, Lonsdale 5 x 38, Torpedo 6 x 52 and a Cuban Lancero at 7.25 x 38. Tobacco terms worth knowing across the range: Habano Maduro Estelí Ligero Seco Volado Capa Capote Tripa
Ligero, often written phonetically as "lahero" or "lejero", is the leaf from the top of the plant: most sun, most oil, most nicotine, slowest burning. Seco from the middle gives aroma, volado from the bottom gives burn.
Start with a Caféina if you drink coffee, or a Habano Estelí Robusto if you do not want anything added.

Storage note for infused cigars
Keep infused and flavored cigars in a separate humidor, or at minimum a sealed bag inside one. Aromatic compounds migrate between cigars stored together, and a coffee or rum cigar sitting next to an unflavored Habano will change that Habano within weeks. Are Lucky Cigars flavored or infused?

What is a lancero?
A long, very thin vitola, typically around 7 x 38. The high wrapper-to-filler ratio makes it a concentrated, wrapper-forward smoke. It is a connoisseur's shape and harder to roll well.
Should I store flavored cigars separately?
Yes. Aromatic compounds migrate between cigars in the same box. A coffee or rum cigar will alter an unflavored cigar stored beside it within weeks. Use a separate humidor or a sealed bag.
Is Lucky Cigar good for a beginner?
The flavored lines are approachable and forgiving, which makes them a reasonable first cigar. If you want to learn what tobacco itself tastes like, start with the Habano Estelí Robusto instead.
